It’s finally time for us to share with you the details of NYC Twestival Local and we could not be more excited!

Twestival, famous for harnessing the power of social media to bring people together for great causes, is hosting a star-studded event in New York City on Saturday, September 12, 2009, in association with Brooklyn Bowl and Flavorpill, and to benefit CampInteractive

CampInteractive is a local non-profit that empowers at-risk, inner-city youth through the inspiration of the outdoors and the creative power of technology.  While NYC will be supporting these guys, cities across the globe will be hosting their own Twestivals to raise money for their local groups, too.

With stars in abundance, NYC Twestival “Celebrity Bowling” tournament will provide Twestival-goers with an opportunity to bowl with entertainments elite.  In addition to purchasing a $20 ticket, attendees will also be invited to purchase special group packages that will score them and their friends a lane to bowl with a star.

100% of the money raised will go towards CampInteractive.

The night will also be packed with live performances featuring some of New York’s most exciting emerging artists, including Twestival favorite, Eclectic Method.

NYC Twestival will be followed by Flavorpill’s High Rollers After party, featuring electro-dance duo Glass Candy, DJ’s Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin, and Mike Simonetti. Twestival attendees receive complimentary access to the after party.

The event will be held at the newly opened Brooklyn Bowl entertainment complex in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  It offers 16 bowling lanes, a 600-capacity performance venue, and an in-house branch of the acclaimed Blue Ribbon Restaurant.  We are also proud to share that Brooklyn Bowl is an eco-friendly space that features:

·      100 % wind powered electricity

·      No bottles, no cans

·      L.E.E.D Certifiication for sustainable green building and development practices

·      Stage floor is 100% recycled truck tires

·      And more!
